Workshop description
In this workshop we will collaboratively review the standards for specific subjects offered by your organization in conjunction with the principles of Global Citizenship Education and Education for Sustainable Development. At the end of the process, we will have mapped the two together so that your team will be able to identify explicitly where they can bring GCED and ESD into their lesson planning. Drawing on the curricula guidelines for GCED and ESD from influential organizations such as UNESCO, Oxfam, and Bridge 47, this workshop utilizes a framework grounded in best practice that will enable you to identify where and how GCED and ESD can be delivered in your curricula offerings.
Workshop outline
This workshop will take place over a series of sessions and will involve the whole faculty. In the sessions, we will delve into the curricula guidelines for GCED and ESD, and then map these into subject standards. The session is intended to be collaborative and hands on with subject teams working together.
The workshop will involve a mixture of presentations and guided group activities. It can be delivered in-person or online.
